The Toronto Raptors are your 2019 NBA Champions! It still feels surreal uttering that phrase. Not even Walt Disney himself could write a better happy ending than what Toronto fans experienced. From the blockbuster Derozan trade to the constant ridicule and disdain for simply being a Canadian team, the 2019 Raptors went through hell and back to bring the first even Larry O’ Brian up North.

Peepthasteez was there in the heart of the parade tapped into the pulse of the people. From discussing the fanbase contrast between the Raptors and the Leafs, to Kawahi’s decision it was sheer celebration and high 5s all around. It’s incredible to believe that sports entertainment can unite the public to a degree where people are climbing street lights to catch a glimpse of the warriors and that golden trophy.
