Generosity from the heart is the essence of this season and we present you this look-book wrapped in the utmost well wishes! Here’s a celebration of our favourite items that accentuate the holiday season and add joy in our life. Peepthasteez wishes you a very Merry Christmas and holiday season.
Our intent behind this video is to showcase our holiday favourites and resourcefulness in times of economic unpredictability. As multi hyphenate creators, having experience behind and infront of the camera, we came together to stunt in the face of uncertainty, be bold in our execution carry forward with purpose. Only having a few short days to put this together, we grabbed our staple go to's and started making magic! I'm amazed at the type of results you can achieve when like minded individuals come together for a focused purpose - specifically in our case, a successful shoot! With this video we put our focus on the magic of purposeful materialism. Shining without blowing a bag. We dipped in our creative juices and gathered pre-owned/thrifted and gifted items that highlight the warmth, sharing and flow of abundance that is the holiday season. From designer favourites to pre-owned basics, we present a mix that blends price efficiency and luxury! We took the seasonal adornments and traditions we partake in each year to our studio to gift them back to you through these creatives. Embellishing the beauty of life in a pandemic year has been a prerogative of ours and we know you will feel that magic of beauty through this production. A big shout out to our partner in crime Emily, better known as the @theasianprincess for blessing the camera and assisting in direction and styling. Like always, Karty @hommiekay took the lead on capturing the magic behind the lens while I worked in combination with him to produce, direct and edit this project. A special shout out to @verdaanbeautystudio for the holiday hair and make-up skills that helped us slay each scene.

It’s been one bizarre year with lockdowns and regular routines disrupted but lest we forget, ritual and tradition of all kind have magic and ancestral momentum behind them that guide us towards deeper communion with ourselves and our loved ones. The act of coming together and sharing experience is vital to the human psyche. Ceremonial celebrations make transitioning between stages of life less fragmented and more fulfilling.
Our personhood is a composite of the company we keep. We get our swag and style from an array of influences within our waking life. The sun may sets at 4:30 pm but there’s no reason our light can’t brighten these December days. This video and shoot is an ode to all the items that light up our mood and keep our holiday cheer emitting.

As you’re gathered around with your immediate family being somewhat stifled by these lockdowns, make the best of coming together. Sharing time and energy is the foundation of all meaningful gifts. The relationship between giving, receiving and being thankful is a parallel to the holy trinity itself. Embody that Christ consciousness and love the mfs that hold you down because the world can surely be a whirlwind of change as we’ve all realized this year.
