As Cannabis legalization arrived closer to being official, the federal government devoted resources to educating the public on the effects of recreational marijuana use by utilizing V.R and A.R tech. This activation was a delight for us as it involved educating young people through entertainment or edutainment as we call it.

 

Our team was there on CNE grounds in August 2018, capturing the event for internal and external use through photography and creating social media assets.  

 

The best way to retain knowledge is to combine the two and capturing the reaction of the youth experiencing simulated effects of cannabis on their hand-eye coordination and cognitive abilities was not only hilarious but evident of a new approach towards recreational substance use. Gone are the brute war on drug days. An honest educational approach incorporating the latest tech is the best method for showcasing young folks. This was a monumental moment in Canadian and world history and to be apart of this activation as active creators and participants was an honor.
