We touched down here for my homie’s bachelor and this is the paradise you want for a 4 night bender. All though we had to catch a layover from Miami and then a 2 hr drive to the pacific coastal town all the while a revolution was taking place, the affordability of the place was well worth it and stretched our dollar to various fun activities.
A steak meal for less than $20, ATVing to remote hidden beaches, a sunday pub crawl and a boat party was all accomplished with full amenities. The locals were warm-hearted yet did not speak a lick of english and you can’t fault them for that as our Spanish was pitiful at best.
Between the ruckus and partying that ensued I actually managed to nap on the hammock. Nestled in a bay and surrounded by cliffs, this town is a hidden gem that appeals to a lot of french canadians for some reason. Other than them, there were European travellers all of a younger demographic. It’s known as a surfing town and this soon became evident as gusty warm winds swang in and out through our entire stay. We managed to survive the bender and a revolution that was taking place in the country and for that we count our blessings.
